Hi everyone,
This announce is just for KernelSU (or fork - KSUN, WKSU, SukiSU, ReSukiSU, ...) users.
I saw many reports and people mostly skips checking the root manager and kernel driver versions before reporting a bug. It can be an issue because KernelSU can fail to apply SELinux rules when users skip this step and all of modules depending to these rules can fail to work too (including HMA-OSS and LSPosed).
How to fix? You have 2 choices:
- Upgrade/downgrade the kernel driver
- Upgrade/downgrade the manager app
But both have to be same/similar version codes. I don't talk about "v3.x.y" (version name), but "330xx" (version code).
I just note that because I'm just tired from reading the same log for the same issue and it is not even my module's bug. I'll not accept any bug reports when users skipped this step from now on.
Anyways, thanks for reading and understanding what can go wrong when users forgot something. Have a good day/night 😇
