Today, Palestinian Mahmoud al-Aqraa stabbed and seriously wounded an Israeli settler near the Maoz Yehuda settlement outpost, near the Palestinian village of Osarin, south of Nablus.
He exited his vehicle and stabbed the settler several times before withdrawing from the area.
Following the stabbing, the Israeli army raided the Palestinian town of Qabalan, imposed a security cordon, and set up checkpoints around the town. The Israeli army also surrounded a home, opened fire toward it, and deployed additional army units accompanied by a bulldozer.
Mahmoud al-Aqraa was shot and wounded by the Israeli army. The Palestinian Red Crescent said the Israeli army prevented its paramedics from reaching him, stopped an ambulance, and detained a Palestinian Red Crescent paramedic. Mahmoud later died from his gunshot wounds after bleeding to death.
Several Palestinians, including school students, also suffered from tear gas inhalation during the raid.
Hamas praised the attack, describing it as “a response to occupation crimes and settler attacks.” It also mourned Mahmoud al-Aqraa and called for “continued confrontation with the occupation and opposition to settlement, displacement, and attacks against Palestinians.”
