Kremlin confirms CIA Director John Ratcliffe visited Moscow for contacts between US and Russian security services.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, no meeting with President Vladimir Putin was planned. The visit reportedly lasted around eight hours, with media speculation linking the talks to issues including Ukraine, Iran, detainees and strategic stability.
