What I mean is actually quite simple:
ZERO people in America should fear violence on the streets of America.
A grandmother shouldn’t be afraid to walk to her car.
A kid shouldn’t have to learn which blocks to avoid.
A woman shouldn’t have to constantly look over her shoulder.
There is nothing compassionate about lowering our expectations for public safety.
...and there is literally nothing racist about believing every American, regardless of race, deserves to live somewhere peaceful, orderly, and safe.
We really don’t have to live like this.
