Game Freak, the developer of Pokémon, has reportedly been hacked, resulting in a leak of source code and project details. This includes DS games like Pokémon HeartGold, SoulSilver, and Black/White 2. Codenames for the tenth generation of Pokémon, called "Gaia" (versions 'K' and 'N'), have surfaced, with the game expected on the Switch successor. Pokémon Legends: Z-A, codenamed "Ikkaku," is reportedly in a fully playable state.
A possible multiplayer game called "Synapse," potentially developed with ILCA, was also mentioned. Unused Pokémon designs and development materials have been appearing online.
