— Lebanese Army chief warned of imminent large-scale Israeli operation in south linked to Ali al-Taher heights
A well-informed ministerial source says Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal had earlier voiced fears of a "broad and imminent Israeli operation in the south linked to the Ali al-Taher heights," driven by an Israeli desire to move from attrition and pressure by fire to imposing new facts on the ground.
The source also reveals the Lebanese state "does not possess a serious and official list of the numbers and names of prisoners held by the enemy," and that it has "handed over the remains of Lebanese Jews to Israel."
Lebanon is in a precarious position: the enemy continues to raise the ceiling of confrontation and demands, while the US administration does not move to curb Netanyahu's unruliness.
