The Lion of Mewar Awakens: Happy Maharana Pratap Jayanti!
Today, we bow our heads in reverence to the eternal sun of Rajputana—Maharana Pratap Singh, the 13th Rana of Mewar.
He was not merely a king; he was a living embodiment of “Swabhiman” (self-respect) and “Veerta” (heroic valor). When the mighty Mughal empire under Akbar demanded submission, Maharana Pratap ji chose the path of fire. He looked into the eyes of ultimate power and refused to bend, proved himself as a true deewan of Ekling ji and true Son of Bhagwan Shri Ramchandra ji Maharaja.
“Jo dridh rakhe dharmi ko, tahi rakhe kartar.” (He who stands firm in righteousness, is protected by the Almighty.)
The Legend of Haldighati & Chetak
In the blood-soaked soil of Haldighati (1576), history witnessed a battle not of numbers, but of sheer will. It was here that the bond between a warrior and his steed became immortal. Chetak, the legendary blue horse, displayed unmatched swami-bhakti (loyalty), leaping onto the war-elephant of Raja Man Singh to shield his master. Chetak flew on the wings of devotion, cementing his name in the stars.
The Immortal Legacy
Even when reduced to eating bread made of grass (ghas ki roti) in the wild Aravalli hills, Pratap’s spirit remained unyielding. He chose the harsh embrace of exile over the golden cages of submission.
His life leaves us with an eternal blueprint:
Honour over Comfort: “प्राण जाए पर वचन ना जाए” —Life may fade, but honor must remain.
Freedom over Bondage: Liberty is a debt paid in blood and sacrifice.
True Leadership: Standing as an immovable rock for your people and your principles.
Jai Ekling Ji! Jai Mewar! Jai Rajputana!
“झुके नहीं जो दुश्मन आगे, वो राजपूती शान है।” Let the indomitable spirit of the Lion of Mewar ignite our souls today. May we face our modern-day battles with the same fierce courage and uncompromised dignity.
✨🌷🌺 जय जय श्री राम जी 🌺🌷✨
