🚨 Acute Limb Ischemia (ALI) 🔹 Causes • Embolism (most common, especially from AF) • Thrombosis on pre-existing PAD • Trauma 🔹 Diagnosis • Sudden onset (< 2 weeks) 🦵 6 Ps: • Pain • Pallor • Pulselessness • Paraesthesia • Paralysis • Perishingly Cold Limb 🔍 Doppler (best intial ) ± CT Angiography (confirm) 🔹 Treatment 💉 Immediate IV Heparin • Analgesia • Urgent Vascular Surgery Consultation • Embolectomy / Thrombolysis / Bypass (depending on cause) • Amputation if the limb is non-viable.
