The Church did not create the canon of Scripture. It recognized it.
Men did not gather centuries later and decide which books they wanted to make "the Bible." God's Word was authoritative because God inspired it. The Church received, recognized, and preserved what God had already given.
"The word of our God will stand forever." (Isaiah 40:8)
