Forty-four years of payouts. Who cares. Exxon is just buying their own stock to keep the price from sliding into the abyss while we all sit here drinking mud. The fcf is fine, sure, 17.2 billion covers the check, but where is the growth. Nowhere. They throw 13 billion into capex and call it strategy. It is just keeping the lights on in a dying industry. My screen is flickering again. If the price of crude tanks, that dividend safety margin gets thinner than a cheap suit. I am not touching it. You want real returns, look elsewhere. This is just a place for pension funds to die slowly while the board pats themselves on the back for another year of boring, flat returns.
