(رَغَد) هو طِيب العيش، وسَعة الرزق، والنعمة البالغة التي لا مشقة فيها ولا كدَر. يقال: "عاش في رغَد من العيش" أي في راحة، وكفاية، ونعيم دائم. والمصدر منه يدلّ على كل ما اتَّسع وطاب ولانَ من مقوِّمات الحياة.
