๐ฏ๐ต Important Japan Visa Update (From April 15, 2026)
Japan will require extra documents for applicants underใfor Company Category 3 or 4ใ when applying for the Engineer / Humanities / International Services visa.
๐ New required documents:
1๏ธโฃ Declaration form about the representative of your company / organization
2๏ธโฃ If your job uses language skills for communication (example: interpreter, teacher, customer support, sales, etc.), you must submit proof that you have CEFR B2 language level or above

Japan accepts these as B2-level Japanese:
โข JLPT N2 or higher
โข BJT score 400+
โข Living in Japan more than 20 years as mid/long-term resident
โข Graduated from a university or vocational school in Japan
โข Completed compulsory education + high school in Japan
โ ๏ธ This means many applicants may now face stricter language checks, especially for jobs involving communication.
๐ก If your work depends on Japanese communication, language proof may become as important as your degree and contract.
