๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Important Japan Visa Update (From April 15, 2026)

Japan will require extra documents for applicants underใ€for Company Category 3 or 4ใ€‘ when applying for the Engineer / Humanities / International Services visa.

๐Ÿ“Œ New required documents:

1๏ธโƒฃ Declaration form about the representative of your company / organization

2๏ธโƒฃ If your job uses language skills for communication (example: interpreter, teacher, customer support, sales, etc.), you must submit proof that you have CEFR B2 language level or above

โœ… Japan accepts these as B2-level Japanese:
โ€ข JLPT N2 or higher
โ€ข BJT score 400+
โ€ข Living in Japan more than 20 years as mid/long-term resident
โ€ข Graduated from a university or vocational school in Japan
โ€ข Completed compulsory education + high school in Japan

โš ๏ธ This means many applicants may now face stricter language checks, especially for jobs involving communication.

๐Ÿ’ก If your work depends on Japanese communication, language proof may become as important as your degree and contract.
