Ahlus-Sunnah3: ◽️Imâm Mâlik was asked about the one who reads the Qur’ân, then completes it and makes Du’â’. So he said: I have not heard that he [the Prophet ﷺ] would supplicate at the completion of the Qur’ân, and it is not from the actions of the people. [Al-Madkhal] ◽️‘Abdul Mâlik al-‘Alwân said: My father [Sulaymân al-‘Alwân] said: the supplication on the completion of the Qur’ân during the salâh is not confirmed from the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, nor from any of the sahâbah. Acts of worship are based on proof, so whoever does an act of worship without proof, then he has innovated in the religion. ◽️Al-Muhaddith ‘Abdullâh as-Sa’d said: The supplication on the completion of the Qur’ân is not confirmed from the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, neither during the salâh nor outside it. And what is reported from Anas [ibn Mâlik] is only that he would gather his family when completing [the Qur’ân], without [the mention of] supplicating.
