Trump's reshape of immigration courts is preventing hundreds of thousands of aliens from becoming lawful.
All year, immigration courts have maintained the lowest asylum grant rate in history — asylum denial hit its highest point in May at roughly 93%, and rose again in June, to 94%. Both higher than that of every year since 1980.
Immigration courts are very important for our mission.
These courts have issued more removal orders under Trump than any other president. Bond denial, asylum denial and deportation orders rising facilitate more aliens into departure or deportation — a reverse migration pipeline.
