Simply put:
Bank Holiday → Fewer institutions participating → Lower Volume → Lower Liquidity → Gold often lacks the momentum to move.

This is why Gold may move more slowly, trade sideways for longer, and take more time to reach TP.

But remember: low liquidity does not always mean low volatility. With fewer orders in the market, a large capital flow or unexpected news can still cause sharp spikes, liquidity sweeps, or breakouts without clear confirmation. A strong candle during a Bank Holiday does not necessarily mean a new trend has begun.

That is why on days like this, I do not force trades or chase every price movement. If the setup is unclear or the breakout has not been confirmed, be patient, stay selective, and wait for a better opportunity.

Remember, a Bank Holiday is not a signal to BUY or SELL Gold. It simply means market conditions may be different from normal. Stay disciplined and know when to trade and when to stay out.
