๐ BANK HOLIDAY โ WHY DOES GOLD OFTEN MOVE MORE SLOWLY?
Today is a Bank Holiday, and you may notice that Gold is moving more slowly than usual. If youโve ever wondered why this happens, this is something every trader should understand.
The main reason lies in market liquidity.
On a normal trading day, the market sees participation from many banks, investment funds, financial institutions, and large capital flows. In particular, London and New York are two very important trading sessions for Gold, as this is when the amount of capital participating in the market usually increases significantly.
However, when the US or UK has a Bank Holiday, some banks and financial institutions are closed or operate at reduced capacity. This means there are fewer buyers, fewer sellers, and less money flowing through the market than usual.
