Pippin is gone.
4 years.
We found him with Sam and Strider in june 22.
Strider went to a family who keeps him as an only dog. Sam and him remained with us.
4 years. When the other dogs rejected Bear the jackal wolf cub, Pippin adopted her and raised her like his own.
When he hurt himself and had to have a femural resection, Brian got in the car and took him to Craiova. 800 euro. Not a discussion. he recovered, he learbned to walk on all 4 again.
Hr was a good dog. Not the prettiest. Not a favourite.
Looked liek a fruit bat.
But he was smart and faithful.
When the big gogs chased him out of the yard he spent 2 years in front of the house. He never left. He always waited. Happy to see us.
He had hisfood and his water, and his love
Pippin is the third dog we lost this year. Brownie had a cerebral fever. Paladin went missing after running after a bitch in heat.
And now Pippin.
He was so faithful and loving.
We made the pen so the little dogs wouldnt be bullied by the big dogs anymore and he was happy.
Then yesterday he staretd being lethargic. Brian took him to the vet. 30 kms each way. He got shots. We tought he'd be OK
Today he got worse, so Brian drove again to the vet.
Vet gave him a shot for possible babesiosis.
He had seizures so Brian called me. I tiold him he was a good boy and that we loved him and I asked him to fight and hold on until I got back home.
But on the way back... he jsut sat there looking at Brian with so much unconditional love. He was seizing but he was fighting. Brian told him it was oK to let go, that we will always love him and never forget him.
Pippin is now with Bear and Frieda and brownie and Tater and all other animals we lost
It sucks loving things.
The world is stupider and uglier and darker.
