Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce the Santa Cruz Mountain Furs’ seventh picnic meet for Saturday, August 22nd!
Like last time, we will be hosting at the Covered Bridge Park in Felton!
This is a SFW event, so people of all ages are welcome to attend. Please invite your friends and feel free to bring fursuits and snacks!
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, August 22nd, 2026
Time: 12:00pm - 5:00pm-ish*
Where: Covered Bridge Park
Graham Hill Road, Felton, CA 95018
We will start cooking as soon as we’re set up. After we eat, we will be taking group fursuit photos on the historic covered bridge!
*Exact time subject to change slightly based on what we’re able to reserve closer to the event
What to Bring:
We encourage you to bring food, fursuits, friends, games, supplies, etc! Kleo and I will most likely be bringing burgers and hot dogs again (normal and vegetarian), plus a few drinks, napkins, cups, and plates. We encourage you all to bring snacks of your own, too! We’ll know closer to the event what we still need. We will do our grocery run later in the week, so I will let you know if we are missing anything critical.
We encourage you all to coordinate what we need in the new group topic: “What to Bring”
Finally, we will also be accepting donations to help cover the recurring reservation costs, food, and supplied. We accept cash, venmo, paypal, apple pay, and alipay/weixin. This is of course optional, but much appreciated! 💕
Transportation:
The park is easily accessible via car with plenty of parking, plus there is a very large parking lot directly across the street at the Safeway.
You can also easily take public transportation using the Line 35 bus via the Santa Cruz Metro, which will take you within a block of the park. Details will be shared and pinned in the “Carpooling / Transportation” group topic chat.
Additionally, if public transportation isn’t an option for you, we also encourage you to use the “Carpooling / Transportation” group topic chat to find people who are able to give rides.

P.S. - As the attendance of the picnics has been getting quite large, we have had to make the unfortunate decision to indefinitely refrain from hosting a public afterparty at our house. While we enjoy hosting it, it has proven quite overwhelming for our son and now that he has been going to school we have had to be more consistent with his bedtime routine. I hope y’all can understand 🥺
