💢 Lawyers for Russia’s Arktikugol trust will challenge Norway’s arrest of the Russian vessel Professor Molchanov in Svalbard, Far East and Arctic Development Minister Alexey Chekunkov said.

Chekunkov said the trust’s lawyers would issue a legal response to the arrest shortly and confirmed that the vessel and its crew are safe. Members of the expedition aboard the ship reportedly learned of the arrest from media reports.
