💢 US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll has submitted his resignation to President Trump after months of friction with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the Army’s direction and the removal of senior officers, The Wall Street Journal reports. He is expected to leave the Pentagon within days.
Driscoll was closely aligned with ousted Army chief of staff Gen. Randy George and had pushed modernization and technological reform. His departure leaves the Army without Senate-confirmed leadership at either the civilian secretary or chief-of-staff level.
