💢 The Holy See attaches particular importance to Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher’s visit to Moscow, seeing it as a sign of its commitment to keeping dialogue open, the Vatican’s Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations told Vatican News after returning to Rome.
Gallagher said his meeting with Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, was “very encouraging.” He described relations between Metropolitan Anthony and the Holy See as “very cordial” and “fraternal,” while noting that differences remain on some issues.
