Questions Over Billions in New Police Uniform Tender: The unveiling of new Kenya Police Service uniforms has shifted focus to the money involved. Nalitex, a company owned by Selpha Chesimi, has been identified as the firm set to supply the new uniforms at a reported cost of about KSh 25,000 per pair. Estimates suggest that kitting the more than 6,000 graduating recruits alone could run into hundreds of millions, while a full rollout to roughly 56,000 general duty officers could push the total towards Sh2.8 billion or higher.
