🔺 FIELD LOG 17 // FILE 003
PROJECT ICEWORM — THE NUCLEAR CITY BURIED BENEATH GREENLAND.
STATUS: DECLASSIFIED / VERIFIED
I opened a file from the Cold War and found an entire city disappearing beneath the ice.
In 1959, the United States Army entered Greenland and began carving tunnels into the frozen surface. The public name was Camp Century—a remote Arctic research station presented as a laboratory for science, engineering, and survival in extreme conditions.
That explanation was real.
It was also incomplete.
Beneath the ice stood sleeping quarters, laboratories, a hospital, a communications center, and a portable nuclear reactor. Approximately 200 people could live below the surface while the world above saw almost nothing.
But Camp Century was only the visible file.
⟁
I traced the classified layer to a plan called PROJECT ICEWORM.
The objective was to build a vast network of tunnels beneath Greenland and hide hundreds of nuclear missiles inside them. The launch sites would constantly rotate through the frozen maze, making them difficult for the Soviet Union to locate or destroy.
A nuclear arsenal with no permanent address.
The ice itself would become camouflage.
The planners imagined thousands of miles of tunnels and as many as 600 missiles positioned close enough to strike targets across the Soviet Union.
Greenland was not merely being studied.
It was being measured as a weapon.
⟁
Then the ice began to move.
I compared the engineering projections with what happened underground. The frozen walls shifted faster than expected. Tunnels narrowed. Ceilings bent. Steel supports twisted under pressure.
The base was not sitting inside solid ground. It was trapped inside a slow-moving ocean of ice.
The same glacier meant to hide the system was gradually crushing it.
Project Iceworm was abandoned. Camp Century closed. Equipment, fuel, biological waste, and parts of the nuclear infrastructure were left behind beneath accumulating snow.
⟁
ASSESSMENT: The operation failed because the planners treated the ice like concrete. It was not concrete.
It was alive, moving—and stronger than the classified architecture buried inside it.
CODE: ICEWORM / CAMP-CENTURY / NUCLEAR-GRID / ARCTIC-VAULT
They told the public it was a research station.
The deeper blueprint described a missile field beneath the ice.
♟
I have learned one rule from buried operations: the ground always keeps its own record.
Forward this file before the ice closes again.
