Many salary earners want to venture into entrepreneurship
But are stuck in the decision loop;
“Should I quit?”
“What if it fails?”
“What if it affects my job?”
And for many who have tried before and failed, entrepreneurship now feels like a road they never want to revisit
Sometimes, the difference between staying stuck and making the leap is learning from someone who has done it successfully
Makua Eyisi is one of those people
I remember in 2019, sitting in the living room of his apartment, listening to him share his vision and plans.
At the time, it was just an idea
In 2020, he made the bold move
He left his comfortable role as a Strategy Analyst at Fidelity Bank Plc and founded Mevesi .
Today, Mevesi has become one of Nigeria’s go-to fashion brands, with its beautiful 2 floor studio situated right in the heart of Lekki, Lagos.
In 2023, he also founded Monibac — a fintech company helping Nigerians build a stronger savings culture while earning attractive returns. Monibac now has over 100,000 users.
This Thursday on Finance O’Clock, I’ll be hosting Makua Eyisi as he shares the real story behind the transition:
— The fears
— The mistakes
— The sacrifices
— The lessons from moving from 9–5 to full-time entrepreneurship
If you have ever thought about starting a business
Or if you’re wondering when to make the leap…
This is a conversation you should not miss
Come with your questions.
