So Abstract is an open, recurring forum designed to lower the barrier between casual tech talks and formal research seminars. Positioned as “more than a webinar, yet lighter than a scientific seminar,” the series focuses on close readings of recent, high-signal papers driving the current AI discourse. Each session selects one article and collectively reconstructs its claims, assumptions, and evidence; when scope or complexity precludes full coverage, we at minimum dissect the paper’s abstract—hence the name. The primary audience is engineers who feel uneasy about reading scientific literature or wish to rebuild dormant reading habits, as well as students seeking structured exposure to contemporary methods and results.
