⛽ India’s Fuel Demand Hits 2-Year Low in August
India’s fuel consumption fell 6.3% month-on-month to 18.61 million tonnes in August, its lowest level since September 2024, according to oil ministry data.
Demand was also down 2.8% year-on-year. Diesel consumption dropped 15% from July, while petrol sales rose 0.5% month-on-month. LPG demand remained unchanged at 2.35 million tonnes.
