Reacting to the VHP’s guidelines for the upcoming Navratri celebrations in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray questioned their authority to decide who qualifies as a “true Hindu.”

He said festivals such as Dahi Handi, Navratri and Ganpati belong to all Mumbaikars, regardless of their language or caste, and should be celebrated collectively.
