India's final trade deal with the US hinges on Washington granting New Delhi better tariff rates than its global competitors, according to Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal.
Speaking on Thursday, Goyal also noted that India's August export volumes continued to rise.
The commercial framework, originally announced on February 3, 2026, drops peak US import duties on Indian goods from 50% to 18%.
