WASHINGTON
"UNCONSCIONABLE: Washington State's Sentencing Guidelines Commission, appointed by the Governor and Legislative Democrats, voted 7-2 to LOWER the penalties for those convicted in sex sting operations against minors, also known as "Net Nanny" Operations.
Last year, WA Democrats submitted a similar policy in legislation with SB 5312. It was defeated by outrage from the public and Legislative Republicans (#tbt).
We have adamantly opposed this dangerous and tone-deaf idea. Children need more protection from criminals and those seeking to do them harm, not less."
