Sinkclose Vulnerability (CVE-2023-31315) කියල හඳුන්වන security threat එකක් 2006 දක්වා දිවෙන සියලුම AMD Processor වල හඳුනාගෙන තියෙනව. ලෝකේ පුරා මිලියන සිය ගානක Devices වලට බලපෑම් කරන්න මේ threat එකට හැකියාවක් තියෙනවා කියල තමයි වාර්තා වෙන්නේ. පහුගිය වසර 18 තුල නිර්මාණය උන සියලුම AMD CPU වල එය පවතින නිසා සැලකිය යුතු අවදානයක් යොමු කරන්න වෙනවා වගේම මේක high risk එකක් තියන threat එකක් කියල AMD official website එකේ පවා පලකරලා තියෙනවා.

Intel CPU එකක නම් මේ වෙනකොට මේ වගේ Vulnerability එකක් වාර්තා වෙලා නැති වුනත් මේකේ තියන ලොකුම risk එක තමයි කෙනෙකුට ඔයාගේ Operating System එකටත් නොදැනෙන්න Data හැමදෙයක්ම Monitor කරගන්න පුළුවන්කම ලැබෙන එක. ඒ වගේම ඔයා හොඳ antivirus එකක් දැම්මත් හොඳ Operating System එකක් reinstall කලත් මේක දැනට පාලනය කරන්න අමාරු threat එකක් විදියට තමයි සලකන්නේ.

මේ වෙනකොට AMD සමාගම Windows Update විදියට වගේම Bios Update විදියට Patches ලබා දෙමින් ඉන්නවා.

මේ malware එක ක්‍රියාත්මක වෙන්නේ Processor එකක SMM (System Management Mode) එක ඇතුලේ. SMM එක hack කරපු ගමන් Hacker කෙනෙක්ට ලේසියෙන් ඇවිත් system එකේ හැමදෙයක්ම බලන්න වගේම access කරන්න හැකියාව ලැබෙනවා. හැබැයි ඉතින් මේ SMM Level එක access කරන්න කලින් Hackerට මුලින්ම system එකේ Kernal Level එක attack කරලා ඉන්න වෙනවා. ඒ වගේම මේ threat එකෙන් ගොඩක් වෙලාවට ලොකු impact එකක් ඇතිවෙන්නේ company level එකේ System run වෙන අවස්ථාවලට. Confidential Data තියන තැනකට මේ threat එක ඇති වෙන්න පුළුවන් හැකියාව වැඩි.

AMD Website එකට ගියාම ඔයාට මේ threat එකට affect වෙලා තියෙන system මොනවද? ඒවාට දෙන solution මොනවද? කියල බලාගන්න පුළුවන්.
