The goal of the competition is to encourage students to study neuroscience, medicine, and scientific research. The competition started in 1998, and thousands of students from more than 50 countries participate every year. Who can participate? High school students, usually between 14–19 years old Competition Stages 1️⃣ Local Brain Bee – Local competition in a city or university. 2️⃣ National Brain Bee– Local winners represent their country. 3️⃣ International Brain Bee – National champions compete globally. Students Enrolled in educational grades 9 12 (and their equivalent) in the 2024 2025 academic year, gap year students are eligible to participate.
