I think about this a lot. There are many writers in the world—some widely known, some struggling, and some like us, who write online.

The question is—how many of us are real?

Have you ever thought about this? I wonder about it way more than I should. Over the past two years, I’ve talked to quite a few writers, and I highly doubt that half of them are real.

If you’re writing in a specific language, shouldn’t you at least know its basics? Shouldn’t you be able to communicate in it?

Yet so many people today, who claim to be writers, don’t even have that foundation. So how can we believe in them? If writing is about expression, how can someone truly write if they don’t even understand the language they use?

I have no personal issue with anyone, but this is something that really bothers me. Writing isn’t just about putting words together—it’s about meaning, effort, and authenticity.

I take great pride in being a writer, and if someone is copying or relying on tools to write, the least they can do is learn the language and make their work believable.
