Hausa, Yoruba, Swahili, Amharic, Zulu — spoken by millions, yet treated as an afterthought in AI development. Open-source AI advanced quickly for languages already dominant online, leaving much of the world behind.

Now, QVAC launches TranslatePsy-AfriSLM: open-source translation models for 19 African languages, designed to run directly on the smartphones people already use.
