An article on the first attack listed by the state department:
Seven people were arrested under suspicion of belonging to a militant anarchist network that sabotaged a high-speed train railway between Rome and Florence. Two of the anarchists carried out the sabotage using IED's, causing damage to infrastructure.
This attack took place simultaneously with another attack on the Rome-Naples line, which was coordinated on the ispirazione noblogs site.
Police stated that the group operated out of Rome, but has maintains cells in Bologna, Milan, and Naples.
