Idea for the first lesson in September: Summer Bingo (Theme: Summer Holidays / Past Simple)

It’s the perfect way to ease students back into learning, break the ice, and review the past tense without any pressure.

Game Variant (instead of the classic version): Speaking Bingo.
Students move around the classroom, asking each other questions in the Past Simple.
For example: "Did you watch the sunrise?" or "Did you eat ice cream for breakfast?". If a classmate answers "Yes, I did," the student writes their name in that box. The first person to get a line of 5 names horizontally or vertically shouts "Bingo!" and wins.

Why this game works so well:

- Real communication: Instead of a boring "How I spent my summer" presentation, kids actually get to interact and talk to each other.

- Group bonding: Kids discover fun facts about their classmates (like who fell off their bike or who actually missed school!).
