[email protected] Subject: Prayer for Expeditious Publication of WBPSC Clerkship Examination, 2023 Main Examination Result and Assessment of Additional Vacancies Respected Hon'ble Chief Minister, I most respectfully seek your kind intervention regarding the recruitment process of the WBPSC Clerkship Examination, 2023 (Advertisement No. 13/2023) conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission. The recruitment process has been subjected to an exceptionally long delay, causing severe hardship and uncertainty to thousands of aspirants across West Bengal. Recruitment Timeline: - Advertisement Published: December 2023 - Preliminary Examination: 16–17 November 2024 - Main Examination: 28 December 2025 - Present Status: August 2026 – Main Examination Result Yet to be Published Thus, more than 2 years and 8 months have elapsed since the advertisement, around 21 months since the Preliminary Examination, and over 7 months since the Main Examination. This prolonged delay has caused immense financial hardship, mental stress, and uncertainty among thousands of candidates. Many candidates are suffering from severe frustration due to prolonged unemployment and are passing through acute financial crisis while anxiously awaiting the completion of the recruitment process. It is respectfully submitted that Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India guarantee equality before law and equal opportunity in matters of public employment. Recruitment processes should be concluded within a reasonable time so that eligible candidates are not prejudiced by avoidable administrative delay. It is further respectfully submitted that the recruitment process commenced in December 2023, and nearly three years have since elapsed. During this period, additional vacancies are likely to have arisen due to retirement, promotion, resignation, death in harness and other administrative contingencies. In the interest of fairness, administrative efficiency and optimum utilisation of the ongoing selection process, it is humbly prayed that the latest vacancy position may kindly be assessed and all available Clerkship vacancies be included before publication of the Main Examination result. In view of the above, I most humbly pray that your good office may kindly: 1. Direct the West Bengal Public Service Commission to publish the WBPSC Clerkship Examination, 2023 Main Examination Result at the earliest. 2. Ensure assessment of the latest vacancy position and enhancement of vacancies before publication of the Main Examination result. 3. Complete the recruitment process expeditiously in the interest of justice, transparency, and efficient public administration. Thousands of unemployed youth of West Bengal are anxiously awaiting the conclusion of this recruitment.
