One reason Muslims need to be far more vocal than anyone else in denouncing Uthman Faruq as a fraud and charlatan is that even if they don't, he will inevitably be exposed as one by Christians (indeed this has already happened with his hadith fabrication fiasco and now his lies about his fake 1 vs 20 debate).
We have to take the lead in exposing him as a lying fraud and charlatan so that Christian apologists are not able to weaponise his "Baqillani of the era" status for point scoring in the public discourse. The least harm of this would be that it would reinforce in the minds of their followers the impression that if this is the best Muslims have to offer, Islam must not be a serious religion.
