Oil Minister Reassures Iraqis About Gasoline: Shortage is Temporary, Remediation Ongoing, Additional Shipments En Route
Oil Minister Bassem Al-Abbadi confirmed that the ministry is working around the clock to secure citizens' needs for petroleum derivatives, announcing the imminent arrival of additional gasoline shipments to address the temporary shortage experienced in some markets.
Al-Abbadi stated that the daily consumption rate of gasoline is around 33 million liters, but it rises to nearly 38 million liters per day when citizens experience anxiety and fuel demand increases, noting that the ministry is taking continuous action to ensure supply stability.
He explained that the current temporary shortage of gasoline is being addressed, indicating that additional shipments will arrive soon to bolster available quantities and meet rising consumption levels.
