Dear Daughter,
The vinedresser does not prune the branch he hates — he prunes the branch he expects much from.
If correction has come into your marriage this week, ask first whether it's rejection or investment. Usually, it's the second.
Pruning hurts because it's preparing for more, not less.
'Every branch that bears fruit he prunes' (John 15:2).
