"THOU HAST PUT ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET” Psalm 8: Part 6 Christ's Dominion “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.” Psa. 8:6 This takes us back to God's original command to Adam. Gen. 1:28 Humanity was created to exercise godly stewardship over creation. But humanity's rebellion disrupted that purpose. Jesus comes as the Last Adam. 1 Cor. 15:45 And Christ ultimately receives universal authority. Mat. 28:18 “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Paul also connects Psalm 8 directly with Christ: 1 Cor. 15:27. "For he hath put all things under his feet.” The dominion that humanity was intended to exercise finds its ultimate fulfillment in Christ. Key Lesson: Jesus is not simply Lord over Christians.
