We are writing on behalf of many Mortal Kombat 1 players across the Middle East to report a major connectivity issue that has been affecting our region for months.
Since early January, the connection quality for Middle Eastern players has significantly worsened. While matches against European players usually average around120 - 150 ms, matches between players within the Middle East often reach 250–300 ms, making online play extremely difficult.
Based on extensive testing by our community, it appears that the routing or network path used to connect Middle Eastern players to the game's online services has changed or is no longer functioning as it did previously. As a result, players who should have the best possible connection with each other are experiencing the highest latency.
This issue has had a serious impact on our community. Many players have stopped playing online, new players are discouraged from continuing, and organizing online tournaments has become increasingly difficult.
We kindly ask your team to investigate the network routing and server connectivity for the Middle East and, if necessary, make any changes required to restore the connection quality we previously had.
The Middle East has a passionate and growing Mortal Kombat community, and we hope to continue supporting the game for years to come. We would greatly appreciate any investigation or update regarding this issue.
