Many saints are married. Many married couples are both saints. Many martyred married couples have been beatified or canonized. But only a few non-martyr couples have been honored together. St. Louis and St. Marie-Azelie Martin (memorial today) who were the first married couple to be canonized together. Bl. Luigi and Bl. Maria Quattrocchi were the first married couple to be beatified together. Ven. Sergio and Ven. Domenica Bernardini were declared venerables together in 2015. Others are also being considered for canonization, like the Servants of God, Karol and Emilia Wojtyla, parents of St. John Paul II.
