We're on the hunt for a hands-on, experienced AWS Data Architect to lead a major revamp of a large-scale data ingestion & analytics platform. You'll be driving architecture and strategy, working cross-functionally to build scalable, AWS-native solutions with IaC from the ground up. ๐ก

๐ Remote from LATAM | PST hours required
๐ฃ๏ธ English: B2+ or higher
๐ What youโll do
โ Architect and implement next-gen data ingestion & analytics platforms
โ Build batch + streaming data pipelines (Kinesis, S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena)
โ Define data lake strategies for diverse data types
โ Lead security, governance & compliance in data workflows
โ Own IaC setup using AWS CDK or CloudFormation
โ Document best practices, and drive scalability
๐ง What you bring
โ 7+ yrs in software dev/architecture, 4+ in Big Data
โ Deep AWS Big Data stack expertise: Kinesis, Glue, S3, Athena, Redshift, EMR
โ Strong ETL/ELT pipeline + data lake experience
โ IaC skills with CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
โ Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala
โ Solid grasp of IAM, encryption, and cloud compliance
โ Confident communicator & team player
โจ Bonus Points
โ ML pipelines or feature engineering experience
โ Familiar with Docker, ECS, or EKS
โ CI/CD for data + infra deployments
โ Consulting/contracting experience leading projects
