D7's Life Updates: post #735 — TG.ME

Hey, everyone. I know it's been much time since I last posted, and I am quite surprised to see that the proportion of people who have stayed here is immense. In this post below, I'm going to talk about some essential updates in D7's life! With 9 unforgettable months of teaching at SATashkent, I’ve decided to step back from offline SAT prep (not quite sure with online case yet) and focus on exploring something new. And my last group is taking the exam in 7th June. More than just saying a short goodbye, I want to thank all my students, mentors, and teammates who’ve involved in this journey. Spending my initial 2 months as a support teacher, I worked individually with dozens of students, especially the ones coming from Presidential Schools before their August exam. And I can still remember having some unpleasant feedback about my teaching skills and some low results with my first group, which over time got resolved after my dinner with Asadbek aka and Jamshidbek to discuss the solutions for the problems I was facing. In terms of the student results, they basically have made me and the whole SATashkent team speechless. I have worked with more or less 70 students since October SAT exam, and overall, my close to 30 students scored 700+ in verbal (EBRW) part of the exam: 10 of them scored 750+ on the verbal section (EBRW): 2×750s, 4×760s, 3×770s, 1x 790, which was overall (1580) Among these, here are some examples of score boosts which still amaze me: — from 550 to 730 (+180 pts) — from 620 to 760 (+140 pts) — from 650 to 760 (+110 pts) — from 690 to 790 (+100 pts) And the crazy part? They did it in just 1-1.5 months. But behind every number, there were some students who stayed late after class, who invited me for a battle over questions like "magical realism/Chinese folklore", and who didn’t give up after their low mock exam scores. Every time the lift elevated to the 7th floor, the thing that always caught my attention more than anything else has been "😮‍💨You will never walk alone❤️" on that red wall. And, tbh, it now feels strange to leave something that’s been an essential part of my life. But I believe, I'll still be an essential part of this family, contributing to its mission of guiding the dedicated youth toward their dreams. So, what is next?
