💥⚠️ Trezor has detected a spying implant in a Safe 5 hardware wallet!
An additional electronic chip equipped with a cellular module and antenna was found in a device sold by third-party reseller CryptoBilis.
The implant was designed to intercept the wallet’s recovery phrase (seed phrase) and transmit it to third parties.
Trezor is warning customers who purchased devices from this reseller since March 2026. It recommends transferring all crypto assets to a new wallet with a newly generated recovery phrase.
When buying a hardware wallet, pay attention not only to the manufacturer but also to where you purchase it.
