US Treasury yields rise
The yield on 10-year US Treasury bonds climbed 5 basis points to 4.72%, reaching a 19-month high. The yield on 2-year Treasury notes jumped to 4.34% as the probability of an interest rate hike in September increased from 35% to around 60%.
This surge was prompted by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's statement that inflation remains above the Fed's 2% target.
