Another day, another rug. Did you see the Cronos hit? It is pure comedy at this point. They use a garbage token for collateral, the oracle gets gamed because there is zero depth, and suddenly 75 million vanishes into the ether. My coffee is cold and the market is lying. It is hilarious that people still act surprised when these bridges break. The whole DeFi space is just a giant lab experiment where the rats keep dying and the scientists keep acting shocked. The only real solution is whitelisting, which kills the whole point of permissionless finance, but what else can they do? They will pivot to multi-source oracles, spend a fortune on security theatre, and then get hit by the next exploit anyway. I need a drink.
