Look at this HKDAP thing. A stablecoin for institutions. They act like this is some sort of breakthrough for cross-border settlement but it is really just a centralized bridge for big money to move under the radar. The HKMA license is the golden ticket here, giving them a pass to play with the plumbing. Ethereum mainnet for these settlements? Gas fees will eat them alive when the volatility hits. I hate this bitter coffee. The risk here is the trust structure. If the reserves do not match the minting rate during a liquidity crunch, we are all going to see exactly how regulated these dreams really are. They want to go public eventually. Good luck with that when the market turns sour and the redemption queues start growing.
