New interpretation: Hyde being described as a man looking younger than Jekyll can kinda be read this way: Hyde was the manifestation of the thoughts and behaviors a younger Jekyll might have experienced/leaned towards, but they got more repressed as he grew older/he learned to regulate them
Hyde coming to be showed that they were still there and he hadn't really dealt with them at all
