A pastor is a shepherd and a guardian of the flock, also known as the congregation. There are many supposed shepherds in this world: principals, managers, teachers, business owners, fathers, presidents, captains, etc… The vast majority of these so-called shepherds are not shepherds at all, but butchers and predators. Within a religious-Christian setting, these shepherds are called pastors; and these pastors are no different from the many false-shepherds of the world. Be very careful who you allow to be your pastor; they have the power and influence to lead you astray. In my estimation, it would be better to have no pastor at all, than to have a bad pastor.
